## Abstract

andwich acts as a boundary center-freezing protection structure, while an active supercon ducting material supplies the pairing source. Unlike approaches that directly search for an entirely new superconducting material, the goal of this proposal is to use the rigidity, low degree of freedom, low mobility, and structural stability of glass to freeze phase separation, cracks, oxidation, strain drift, and macroscopic disorder in the active layer. In AQM terms, this is intended to reduce the loss term δ in the condensed-matter coherence-protection factor, while increasing the effective elastic spectral stiffness Eeff and the in-plane coherent connectivity Cconn. In the first stage, this paper recommends the structure glass/MgB2/glass as the most direct implementation route, because MgB2 itself has a known superconducting transition near 39 K, has a relatively clear mechanism, and is more tractable from an engineering perspective. In this proposal, the glass sandwich does not generate pairing; rather, it enhances coherence protection. If the sandwich structure increases Csand, increases Eeff sand, and lowers δsand, then the superconducting critical temperature, transition sharpness, critical current, or magnetic-field stability may improve relative to the bare active layer. This paper gives the structural formula, material choices, fabrication routes, control experiments, success criteria, and falsification conditions. The paper does not claim that glass itself is superconducting, nor does it claim that the scheme necessarily realizes room-temperature superconductivity. The claim is instead that a glass sandwich can serve as an AQM center freezing protective boundary for improving the macroscopic coherence stability of an active material that already has pairing capability.
